Imagine you are one of the 30,000 people coming to Christ every day in China. The underground church you attend only has one copy of the life giving Word of God for every 300 people. You are given 10 pages of the Bible and are told to memorize what you can and pass it on to others in need. The pastor of your Church doesn't even have a complete Bible.

The goal of the ministry is to serve the worldwide church by providing the necessary tools and training for the local people to fulfill Christ's "Great Commission" in their own countries.

There are over 100 million believers in China alone, if you combine that with the other believers in countries that are closed to the gospel there is a very great need to not only preach the gospel but to equip these believers to do the work of the Lord. Vision Beyond Borders has been committed to meeting the needs of hurting people for over 20 years. Having begun in missions in 1984 at the age of 21 years old, Patrick Klein went to Israel to share the Gospel. Then in 1987, he went on a trip to SE Asia with a group from Christ For the Nations Institute (CFNI). After carrying Bibles into China, the hook was set and he sensed the call of God to begin working in Asia to reach people with the Gospel and to strengthen the persecuted Church. Following this direction, Pat began a ministry in August of 1994 in Casper, Wyoming called Asian Vision which specialized in taking Bibles into China and other parts of Asia.

The ministry gradually grew and eventually began work in other countries outside of Asia such as Cuba, Turkey, Morocco, and Romania. Then in 2001, a few years after the ministry's headquarters was relocated to Sheridan, Wyoming, the name Asian Vision was changed to Vision Beyond Borders, which better describes the work it does throughout the world.

The goal of the ministry is to serve the worldwide church by providing the necessary tools and training for the local people to fulfill Christ's "Great Commission" in their own countries. This is done by supplying them with native language Bibles, training materials, seeds, clothing, medical supplies, prayer teams and evangelism to children. Last year alone, Vision Beyond Borders helped to ship and deliver over 50,000 Bibles to numerous countries in all types of languages. Patrick Klein has been involved in missions work for over 20 years and has spent several years living overseas in places such as Israel, Singapore, Hong Kong, the Philippines, and China. He has helped to deliver over 750,000 Bibles around the world; providing God's Word to those who are hungry and thirsty for the words of life.
