We are excited at the possibility of your participation on a mission trip! The first step is to be in prayer concerning the trip. We want you to feel confident that you are called to go on a trip with Vision Beyond Borders. The second step is to work on filling out the application forms (found below). There is a $250 application fee that is expected with your application.
Below, you will find three (3) forms. Your responsibility is to fill out the application form and medical formand send them back signed to Vision Beyond Borders. Two recommendation forms are required. You fill out the top portion and then pass them the forms on to the appropriate persons. The first recommendation form is for your pastor, with a second to be completed by a former teacher, mentor, or close spiritual friend. The people filling out the Recommendation Forms must return them to you in a sealed envelope to include with your application.
Additional materials will be mailed to you upon acceptance for a trip.
You will also find Vision Beyond Borders's Statement of Faith. As a team member you will be a representative, first of Christ and then of Vision Beyond Borders. Therefore, all people participating with Vision Beyond Borders must be in agreement with our Statement of Faith. Please read this statement and indicate agreement by signing the agreement section on the last page of the application form. Please keep the Statement of Faith for your personal reference.
When sending your application, please send us a recent photo of yourself. A head and shoulders picture is the best, such as a school picture. Please attach this to the back of the application form.
If you already have your passport, please make three (3) copies of the inside cover (the page with your picture and passport information). Keep one for yourself, to bring on the trip and send two copies to Vision Beyond Borders. This will provide necessary information for booking airline tickets and information in case of accidental loss or theft of your passport while out of the country. If you do NOT have a passport, we recommend that you begin the process of applying immediately as it can take as long as 8 to 10 weeks. Below is an idea of prices for the different trips we take. Please keep in mind that these are just approximations of trip costs and not actual quotes. Trip costs vary mostly because of the expense of airfare, which fluctuates depending on how far in advance tickets are purchased and during what season travel will occur.
