By donating stock or other investment securities that you have held for more than a year, you can be eligible for a full market value tax-deduction while avoiding the capital gains tax on the appreciated value. 

The value of a charitable gift of stock is determined by taking the mean between the high and low stock price on the date of the gift. Mutual fund shares are valued using the closing price for the fund on the date of the gift.

By donating appreciated real estate, such as a home, vacation property, undeveloped land, farmland, ranch or commercial property that you have held for more than a year, you can be eligible for a full market value tax-deduction while avoiding the capital gains tax on the appreciated value. 

Your gift will generally be based on the property's fair market value, which must be established by an independent appraisal.

By making a charitable bequest in your Will or Living Trust you can support the ministry of Vision Beyond Borders while reducing estate taxes. Please consult with your lawyer to properly implement a bequest, and please let us know so that we can recognize your generosity.

A charitable gift annuity allows you to make a substantial donation to Vision Beyond Borders, while simultaneously ensuring that you will receive a guaranteed income for life. The gift can be tailored in many ways to provide an income for yourself (and a spouse) while providing a benefit to VBB. Vision Beyond Borders has partnered with the National Christian Foundation (NCF) to provide Charitable Gift Annuity services for supporters wishing to allocate a minimum of $10,000 in a CGA.
